American Idol

This post is coming to you via BlogThis. What a fantastic tool!

I am listening to iTunes radio and Fantasia's "Truth Is" song is currently playing, which prompted the question...Does anyone else still watch this show? I must admit that it is one of my guilty pleasures. But, in all honesty, it has generated some talented artists. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia Barrino. I'm definitely not a Clay Aiken fan though, sorry Steph! Anyhow, this was a random topic. I think I am just blog happy.

Weather Forecasters. I mean, you got to love them. When I worked at KTVU they were incredibly nice and friendly. Especially Bill Martin. Great guy. But I have been hearing about these alleged rain systems for 2 days now...And I have yet to see any significant rainfall since Sunday. I suppose I will just keep my umbrella tucked away in my purse. Maybe I'll even do a rain dance in hopes of proving the weathermen right. Don't worry, I got your back Bill Martin.

Not now I'm blogging.

I think I see an addiction on its way. Uh oh. Stay tuned.

I have to go to the bathroom. Again.

This is going to be a short one...for obvious reasons. Don't get me wrong, coffee is my savior. Couldn't go a day without it. Probably couldn't go an hour without it. Ok I have a problem. Anyhow, I swear I have spent half my day running to the restroom... Oop...and I'm out...

6 days til Christmas...Santa's on his way!

Christmas is a comin' . . . Are you ready?! I am. Battled the holiday crowds and got some hardcore shopping done this past weekend.

But even more importantly than your Christmas prep, are you excited? Can you remember the first Christmas morning when--instead of bolting out of bed at the crack of dawn--you decided the hell with it, I'm going to sleep in? And you did. And miraculously enough, the packages were still there when you finally awoke.

Between your mid-teenage years, and the age at which you have children of your own, there is a significant let-down around Christmas time. The holidays will always hold a special place in my heart. And who doesn't love giving gifts, getting gifts, and eating lots of delicious desserts? But it just ain't the same...

I blog therefore I am

Saw this sticker today. As a newbie to the blogging world, I thought it was pretty clever. On a similar, computer-related note, I learned what a "CAPTCHA" is today. I have decided that the name is pretty brilliant. A hybrid of "capture" and "gotcha." It was also quite nice to learn why I have had to enter random scrambled letters into numerous sites. Now that I am aware that they are an effort to stop spamming, I have a new found appreciation for those random, incoherent messages. Another wrinkle in the old brain...
